woodland wander

Into the forest they went, one day.
It was beautiful.
They felt different!
This world was magic!
Entangled;enthralling...

We felt small and happy...
content to be alive in the smells of the forest.
Not everything was edible.
The hunt was on for the elusive chanterelle!
Other things were found, though not edible, and were admired for texture.
and for color
The pursuit continued.
Reindeer moss harbored these elegant specimens. Skirted with soft ruffled folds.

Onward, searching, we went.
And yes, success was ours that day.

Reaping a bounty that we all could share. Yum!

Oh this is the nicest post. I think you need to illustrate a children's book...
and we adults will buy it for ourselves and our small friends.
